Hello, I'm Tanisha Williams! I have recently returned from a year long stay in South Africa as a scientific researcher through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. As I continue to complete my dissertation research on Pelargonium adaptability to climate change throughout the Cape Floristic Region (CFR), I will take you with me on research expeditions, laboratory experiments and any other time I decide to bring a camera to document an adventure.
I have always wanted to start a blog. I have read through so many adventures of fellow travelers, and wanted to share some of my own experiences. Being granted a Fulbright seemed liked a great time to start documenting the fun. This site will be the musings of my doctoral research, travel adventures, science policy topics, outreach, and other interesting tidbits that I come across. With my research focus on plant ecology and evolution, many of the posts will be plant related, but I fully intend to keep other organisms in sight.
A game I have played for years with people, is name your "Top 3." I will be sharing my "Top 3" lists of destinations, shops, eateries, and mountains that I frequent throughout the world.
Come live, laugh, learn and explore with me!!
Yours truly, Tanisha
